5 stars in the Vinaria Weinguide are something special. Only 122 wines from all over Austria were awarded the highest rating by the trade magazine this year. Among them are our two 1ÖTW Erste Lagen wines, the Grüner Veltliner Ried Gebling 1ÖTW 2021 and the Riesling Ried Marthal 1ÖTW 2021. We are of course very pleased with both ratings, although we are a tiny bit prouder of the Riesling, as the Kremser Marthal has only belonged to the Erste Lagen since last year.
5 crowns for the sister winery
Apropos proud. Our sister winery, Weingut Buchegger, has been accepted by Vinaria into the illustrious circle of 5 Crown wineries. Only 32 wineries in all of Austria are rated so highly! And because Weingut Buchegger was also awarded the maximum of 5 stars for two wines from the 2021 vintage, we are the only winery to enjoy a total of four 5-star wines.
