We are happy that we were able to master another challenging vintage so well. It took a lot of patience, especially with the harvest: Set for a very early date, we had to keep pushing the harvest back due to the wet weather. Especially in difficult years, winemakers need a lot of intuition and experience to determine the right time to harvest. We succeeded last fall – especially from the beginning of October, the vines delivered outstanding qualities.
2022 in the glas
The vintage brings the early wines fruity and harmonious wines that will provide a lot of drinking pleasure throughout the year. For the single-vineyard wines, which are allowed to ripen until late summer, we expect a smaller quantity, but very elegant wines that convince with fine complexity and expressiveness.
What is already available
By the way, we have already filled some young wines: The Grüner Veltliner Nussbaum, Ried Wolfsgraben and Ried Loiser Weg as well as the Sauvignon Blanc and the Gelber Muskateller are already available as a 2022 vintage. You can get an overview of all currently available wines on our store website. There you will also find a spring-fresh offer: the already bottled wines of the 2022 vintage from Vorspannhof Mayr and Weingut Buchegger as a wine package – 12 bottles for € 110, – delivered postage-free within Austria.
